Season Over – What a Finish!

29 Mar by Jonathan Saw

And just like that, another incredible season of Canning Cougars T-Ball has come to an end! What a day we had celebrating our season wind-up – a perfect mix of excitement, achievement, and just a little bit of sadness knowing we have to say goodbye to the fun for now.

With game count badges, trophies, and team photos, our players were recognized for their dedication and hard work throughout the season. And let’s not forget the absolute blast we had with the dunk tank, bouncy castle, and water slide – the perfect way to cool off as the temperature soared close to 40 degrees! Plenty of food and drinks kept everyone going, making it a fantastic way to wrap up such a successful year.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who made this season possible – our amazing coaches, managers, players, and parents. The commitment to our club was undeniable, with a staggering 3 quarters of players playing 16 games or more! That speaks volumes about the passion and dedication we all share for this incredible sport. T-Ball is one of the most inclusive and welcoming sports out there, and Canning Cougars is proof of that!

A special shoutout to our hardworking Committee – the engine that keeps this club running:

Steve Klomp – President Ebony St Quintin – Treasurer Derek Lynch – Secretary Ali Ludlow – Canteen Manager Daniel King – Property Manager Calli Pearce – Uniform Manager Jonathan Saw – Registrar
Next Saturday, the committee will conduct the end of season stocktake. If you have any outstanding issues, please email me this week. After that, we’re officially in hibernation for winter!

Now’s also the perfect time to reflect – what worked well this season? What could we improve? If you have any thoughts or suggestions to make next season even better, please email me at registrar@cctbc.com.au. We’d love to hear from you!

Lastly, don’t forget our AGM on July 22nd. Most major committee positions are set for next season, but we’re always on the lookout for more passionate people to help out in smaller roles. If you have skills, ideas, or just love being involved, we’d love to have you on board as we continue to grow and improve.

Thanks again for an amazing season, Cougars! Enjoy the break, stay safe, and we’ll see you all next summer for another fantastic year of T-Ball!
